About Paula
Originally from Argentina and now based in London, Paula N is a contemporary artist creating paintings designed to make people pause, wonder and look again. Animals sit at the heart of her practice, with the gaze often becoming the focal point through which curiosity, connection and conversation begin.
With a background in Communication, Art and Design, Paula began painting in 2009, initially drawn to flowers and botanical subjects before gradually moving towards animals. Over the years, she has explored oil pastels, watercolour, mixed media and acrylics, continually challenging herself through courses and further artistic study in London.
Acrylic has become the medium closest to her heart, offering the freedom to play boldly with colour while still allowing the detail and precision that define her work. Her practice continues to evolve through experimentation, learning and an ongoing fascination with how a single painted gaze can hold a viewer’s attention and open a conversation.
